Insidious Heart

What happens when a black-hating Mayor of a small town finds out that his son is dating a black woman?
What happens when this same Mayor is the head elder in a small church now being pastored by a young man with adopted Korean children?
What happens when this Mayor meets face to face with a white-hating father of the bride?

Mayor Cornwall is a small town mayor who was raised by a black family but has his reasons for despising blacks. His son, a police officer, begins dating a young black lady. Cornwall is ready to kill…literally.

The son's girlfriend, Lowanda, grew up on Chicago's West Side. Her father never liked whites, and has been the target of numerous violent and racist acts. Unbeknownst to Lowanda Smith's father, his daughter decides to date a white man.

Rick Nolan is a new pastor in a small Pennsylvania church. He has three children, two of them were adopted from Korea. Mayor Cornwall, who is also Head Elder, hates Nolan and threatens him as he's done with the three previous pastors. This time the Pastor isn't budging because Nolan has uncovered some dark secrets that the Mayor has been hiding for a long time.

A cop. A mayor. A pastor. A black lady.

They all seek to live in the same town but share very different values.

Teej Cornwall can’t understand why his father, the Mayor of Big Spring, doesn’t like his new girlfriend, Lowanda, before he’s even met her. The Mayor can’t believe that his only son Teej, a local cop, is dating a black woman. Mayor Cornwall doesn’t appreciate the fact that the new pastor of his church has adopted children from Korea. And the pastor? He wonders why he even came to Big Spring in the first place since the past three pastors were quickly forced to leave town.

Introduction

This is a blog dedicated to the pseudonym Haywood Stubble. I will contain my thoughts and actions as I publish more and more online. I've written a lot of material over the years and I think 2011 is the year that much of it gets published. There are still some works in progress that I will be working on as I publish, for instance, the daily devotional. I update that regularly and have been for almost 3 years as of this writing.

Thus far, here is a link to my books that are out on Barnes & Noble and Amazon.
